Puppy Training Programmes in South Wales
At K9 Kindergarten we are passionate about puppies, giving you the tools to build a rewarding relationship from the outset.
We offer a comprehensive puppy training programme from our 2 session Puppy Pre-School aimed at promoting positivity and resilience in the youngest pups, to our comprehensive 8 week Elementary School foundation course which focuses on all the essentials for building a solid basis for your life lasting partnership together. All our groups are kept to a max of 6 dogs to ensure everyone has plenty of attention and the environment is not too busy.
These are complemented by our Socialisation Saturdays offering unique experiences for your growing pup.
Puppy Pre-School
2 sessions aimed at promoting positivity and resilience in the youngest pups.
Our puppy pre-school caters specifically for young puppies in the critical 8-15 week socialisation period.
This play-based session is laid out in “workstations” and aims to boost puppies’ confidence and boldness by offering them lots of different environments to discover.
Why?
Between 3 – 15 weeks dogs are particularly sensitive to learning about the world around them. During this period they learn what is safe and what should be avoided.
This is the best time to lay down the foundations for building a good relationship with your pet and a window of opportunity for giving them positive experiences and interactions.
Cost
£30 for the course, paid in advance.
Who can Attend?
Puppies aged between the age of 9 and 15 weeks, at least one week after their 1st vaccination.
You will need to bring your vaccination card on first attendance and all pups will be given a quick health check on arrival. Pups should not have been in contact with unvaccinated dogs prior to attending.

Elementary School
An 8 week puppy foundation school focusing on all the essentials needed to build a happy and rewarding partnership.
The real training begins with our pups following our 8 week “Mind your Manners” course.
We teach you how to train your dog to come back when called, walk nicely on the lead and stop jumping up as well as how to get to grips with the basics; sit, down, stay, leave and settle.
People and animals learn better when we are enjoying ourselves so we aim to make our classes fun but informative using kind, modern techniques.

Who can Attend?
Pups can progress from our Puppy Pre School or enter at this level.
They must be fully vaccinated and under 6 months of age.
Cost
£155 for the 8 week course payable on booking.
What to expect
Each session will consist of demonstrations of that week’s training exercises followed up with practice under close instruction and a fun activity.
There will also be a supervised interaction session for the puppies.

Puppy Start Right Virtual visit
If you can’t make a class but have questions or need advice either before or after you pick up your puppy why not book a virtual visit.
We will cover all the essentials including socialisation, house training, basic commands and can discuss any other puppy queries you may have.

Socialisation Saturdays
Safe, controlled exposure to a variety of livestock and opportunity for supervised off lead play with other pups
K9 Kindergarten pupils also get access to a fantastic additional training resource – our Super Socialisation Saturdays!
A unique opportunity to socialise your dog with poultry, goats, pigs, ponies and friendly older dogs in a controlled environment and a safe location to practice those off-lead recalls.
Why?
It is important that pups learn to be calm and relaxed around other animals.
Who can Attend?
Pups already enrolled in training with us. They must be fully vaccinated to take part.
What to expect
Individual exposure under close instruction followed by a supervised group walk in private fields.

£10 per session.
Where?
Outdoor venue in Caerphilly.
